Advantages of treatment of gum disease and periodontal surgeries with laser procedure:
1. It is less invasive and take less treatment time. It does not require as much local anesthesia as traditional surgery does. Some procedures with laser take 1/3 less chair time time than traditional procedures.
2. Often, laser treatment does not require cutting and suturing and leads to minimal or no tissue scarring after healing.
3. There is less bleeding, less swelling less recovery period and less discomfort than with standard surgery after the procedure.
